Airport: Girona (GRO)

From Girona Airport to Barcelona by car

Driving from Girona Airport into Barcelona shouldn´t take longer than 1 hour 20 mins, and isn´t a complicated journey. The distance is about 100km along the AP7 motorway. The AP7 is a toll motorway so you´ll have to pay at some toll gates along the way. A motorway toll in Spanish is peaje, and in Catalan is ´peatge´. The easiest one is the ´manual´ gate, where you pay by cash. The other gates are for credit cards, but some are not accepted. The next toll coming up will require you to take a ticket. Keep this ticket to show to the attendant at the next toll booth.

From Girona Airport to Barcelona by taxi

We do not recomend you to take a taxi from Girona airport to Barcelona centre, as it will cost you around 120€.

From Girona Airport to Barcelona by bus

The Barcelona Bus is the easiest and cheapest way to travel between Girona airport and Barcelona city centre. The company is not owned by Ryanair, but its timetables are tailored the coincide with the arrivals and departures of Ryanair flights.

The bus goes directly from the airport to Barcelona Estacio Nord, Barcelona´s main bus station. Journey time is approximately 1 hour 10 minutes. It´s five minutes walk from the metro stop Arc de Triomf (red line 1).

A single ticket costs 12€, and a return is 21€. It´s not possible to buy your tickets in advance.
